"The food you eat either makes your more healthy, or less healthy.
There is no other option."
{Dallas Hartwig & Melissa Hartwig}
It Starts With Food

What is the Whole30?

The Whole30 is more than just an elimination diet,
it's a 30 day total health reset that will change your life.

During this 30 days you will be completely eliminating certain food groups from your diet that are known to be commonly problematic for many people. These foods are not inherently bad or unhealthy, and you're not committing to give them up forever!
These foods are simply known to cause health issues and negative side effects
in many people, and could very well be negatively affecting you in a number of ways
right now, without you even realizing it.

For example, do you frequently experience inconsistent energy levels?
Do you have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking feeling rested?
Do you experience mood swings, unexplained aches and pains, or uncontrollable cravings? Do you struggle with seasonal allergies, digestive issues, joint pain and inflammation,
skin conditions, or have difficulty losing weight?

The food you are eating is most likely contributing to, if not causing, many of these negative symptoms you've grown to accept as normal. They are not normal!
And you absolutely can feel better!

Here is what you will be eliminating for 30 days:

All added sugar, real or artificial
Alcohol
Grains
Legumes
Dairy

It's vital that you stick to these rules with fidelity for the full 30 days so that your gut has time to heal, your cravings diminish, inflammation goes down, and you experience the benefits of a full reset. I promise you, this will change your tastes, habits, and relationship with food like nothing you have ever done before.

After the 30 days is up you will feel better than you ever have, and you'll be working from a squeaky clean slate as you start to systematically reintroduce each food group and evaluate how it affects you. If upon reintroduction you find certain foods have no negative affect on you, physically or emotionally, GREAT! Incorporate those foods back into your regular diet in a way that supports your food freedom and keeps you feeling your best. If you reintroduce a certain food group and experience any of those negative side effects you worked so hard to get rid of, also GREAT! Now you are armed with incredible, specific knowledge about how that particular food affects your body, and you can make a conscious and deliberate choice about whether or not that food is worth eating going forward, and in what context.
